Extended Day and Aftercare

EXTENDED DAY Noon – 3:20

2 Year Olds: Toddlers stay in their classroom with their teachers for Extended Day, having lunch and nap in their classroom.

3 Year Olds: Our 3 year olds in the Primary classrooms join together with our Extended Day and Aftercare teachers in the Annex for lunch and nap.  After nap, they enjoy playing outside and working with materials until dismissal at 3:20.

4 Year Olds: Our 4 year olds in the Primary classrooms stay in their classroom for Extended Day. They have lunch and are offered a rest/nap, after which they enjoy continuing their Montessori lessons alongside their Kindergarten classmates during the afternoon until dismissal at 3:20.

AFTERCARE 3:20-5:30

2 Year Olds: Our Toddlers who are enrolled in Aftercare join together in one group for this portion of the day, with one of our Lead Toddler teachers and an assistant. They will have snack, enjoy playing outside and working with materials in the classroom.

3 and 4 Year Olds: Our 3 and 4 year olds who are enrolled in Aftercare are in two groups with our Extended Day and Aftercare teachers.  They will have snack, play either outside or in the multi-purpose room, and have group activities.  

Kindergartners: Our Kindergartners who are enrolled in Aftercare join together in one group in a Lower Elementary classroom, with our Aftercare teachers.  The group will have snack, group activities and crafts, and play either outside or in the multi-purpose room. The Kindergarten and Elementary groups do some of their activities together.

Elementary: Our 1st-6th year Elementary students who are enrolled in Aftercare join together in one group in a Lower Elementary classroom, with our Aftercare teachers. The group will have snack, group activities and crafts, and play either outside or in the multi-purpose room. The Kindergarten and Elementary groups do some of their activities together.
