Support Services

At MSM, we have a Resource Teacher trained in the Orton Gillingham method. This method of teaching reading goes hand in hand with Montessori, in that it is a multi-sensory way of supporting emergent readers. Our Resource Teacher assesses Kindergarten and First Grade students at the beginning of the year to determine their reading level, and then provides support to those students who need an extra boost. Older Elementary students also receive support if needed.
